I am currently in the process of learning Linux. I feel as though I learn best from hands on, project-based environments. So, I’ve set up a few virtual machines running CentOS and have begun creating an environment similar to one I’d see in an enterprise situation. It’s kind of like my own mini IT department. What would an IT department be without end-user support or a help desk?
Hesk is a free, lightweight PHP help desk application, and honestly, it’s effortless to set up and use. This would be deployed in an enterprise environment and allow end-users or customers to submit tickets to the IT department and notify them of any IT related problems in the workplace.
Here I Have generated a few example tickets to demonstrate how it works.
